Mira has been interested in a natural approach to health and living since she was a young adult. After completing a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University in Environmental Science, she moved to California where she attended the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, and fell in love with acupuncture and herbal medicine. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2010 and has since been working in both private and community acupuncture settings. In 2012, Mira earned a certificate in Massage Therapy from Cortiva Institute in Watertown and is also a Licensed Massage Therapist. In addition to her work at SSCA, Mira also does community acupuncture at Harvard Square Community Acupuncture in Cambridge. She believes that any health condition, whether it be mental, physical, spiritual or emotional, can be improved or completely resolved with acupuncture, herbs and/or other natural health modalities that address the person as a whole. Outside of work, Mira spends a lot of time outdoors with friends, traveling, doing yoga, trying new recipes and reading research articles on various health conditions and acupuncture studies.
