Please wear comfortable loose clothing to your appointments; be prepared to relax and enjoy your treatment. We ask that you silence cell phones and refrain from browsing or texting during treatments. Enjoy the silence by resting quietly and peacefully! Feel free to bring earplugs or headphones to make you more comfortable.

New patients to South Shore Community Acupuncture will need to fill out paperwork. You can download the forms below and bring them with you or come in 15 minutes early and fill them out at the clinic.

Initial Consultation ($50) – Acupuncture (70-90 minutes)
The initial consultation is the first time you come in for a treatment.  It includes a brief intake to discuss your reasons for seeking acupuncture, and an acupuncture treatment.  A treatment plan that is realistic for your needs will be discussed.

Follow-Up Session ($30) – Acupuncture (30-60 minutes)
A follow-up acupuncture session includes a brief consultation to check-in with you on any changes and an acupuncture treatment.

Follow-Up/Initial Session ($30/$50) – Cupping (15-20 minutes)
A cupping session includes a brief discussion on your areas of concern. Cups will be place on your back or other areas of concern.

Herbal Consultation ($30) (15 minutes) + Cost of Herbs
During our herbal consultation you will be evaluated by one of our acupuncturists to get an overall picture of your health with an emphasis on what you are seeking herbal medicine for. The consultation will last approximately 15 minutes. Once your acupuncturist will write a prescription and have it sent to a licensed herbal pharmacy where it is prepared and/or filled. This process may take up to a couple of days depending on the complexity of your case. You will then receive an e-mail from the herbal pharmacy and have the herbs shipped directly to you. The additional cost of the herbs will be paid directly to the herbal pharmacy. You may request with you acupuncturist if you prefer herbs to come in pill, tincture or powder form.

Missed Appointment Fee: Cost of Treatment (24 hours notice required for cancellation)

Our goal is to keep acupuncture treatments affordable.

We do not accept insurance, however, we are happy to give you receipts or superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We accept cash, checks and credit cards (MC, Visa, Amex, Discover and Flexible Spending Accounts).
